        All this takes place within the first third of the book, so I’m not giving much away. At any rate, the true drama of “Inheritance” is not Shapiro’s discovery of her father’s identity but Author: Ruth Franklin.   At that point, you may be tempted to think “The Inheritance” has as much in common with the vintage naïfs-in-the-big-city potboilers of Rona Jaffe and Jacqueline Susann as it does with.

      Many of the loose ends deliberately left at the end of Inheritance will be addressed in the next book, which we’ll call “Book Five” for now. Although it does not directly continue the story of the Inheritance Cycle, it will feature some of the same characters and themes found in the series.
